I remember you said,

"Second star to the right and straight on 'til morning."

I loved you so much for it
Because you showed me how to be young
In Neverland.
In a land of fairies and pixie dust.

We went exploring through the Indian's camp and Mermaid Lagoon
Where you proved you love me too.

You saved me from Hook and the pirates ship.
But I still remember when you said,

"Wendy." for the first time to me
And flew in through the windows,
Shaking shutters and night air.

"Never say goodbye, because goodbye means going away and going away means forgetting," you said.

I wish I still had pixie dust
Hidden away for special.
In the back of my mind,
Where my never thoughts lie.

So I could fly to you,
I would try.
You said,

"Once you've grown up, you can never go back!"

I grew up and you didn't.

And

this is why we said goodbye.

Maybe that's why the stars
Are so bright,
Because they look down at you
And they think,

"She looks like she needs some light."

Because they know things are dark
And they want to help.

So maybe a bit of light,
Isn't that bad of a thing at all.
